SERVPRO of Northwest Genesee County - Our Duct Cleaning Process
5/15/2019 (Permalink)
Vent covers and returns are removed and thoroughly cleaned to remove any build-up that has accumulated.
A highly-trained technician will attach a high-powered vacuum system to your air duct system. This will create a vacuum in your ducting and returns, and pulls the collected debris to our filtration system. Air is filtered through a HEPA filtration system, removing 99.97% of particles in the airstream.
Going to each vent, we use one of our tools to agitate and remove debris from each branch of the duct work. We select the tool we use based on your type of ducting. These can include compressed air or a whip, that uses “tentacles” to agitate years of debris.
While your system is still under vacuum pressure, we mist in an EPA registered antimicrobial agent into the duct work. This is the same agent we use during water damage or mold remediation losses. By using this, we help eliminate mold and bacteria.
Finally, duct sealer is applied to create a mold and mildew resistant barrier between living and non-living spaces.
If you have replacement filters on site, we will be more than happy to install them at no additional cost. Call 810-732-3298 for more information.
